Ever since childhood, I have been fascinated by the zoological and
geological specimens collected and presented by museums in their
cases and collection jars.  The displays enabled me to enter another
world, where normally unseen objects were brought into the light of
day.

As an artist, I focus on the hidden and secret aspects of botanical and
zoological forms involving sculpture, photography and
drawing/painting to reinterpret and beautify a potentially disturbing
subject.  In my compositions, I often imagine a world transformed by
environmental changes and man's interference with plants and
animals.  Through magnification and distortion, I force the viewer to
examine and confront the ambiguous, disquieting shapes which
inhabit our future.
